Description: Born in Yellowknife, NWT in 1990, John is already a seasoned musician. He started violin at the age of 8 under the leadership of Jessica Halliday and has most recently advanced his musical repertoire under the guidance of musician Shawn Kellett. John plays fiddle, mandolin, guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals. John's remarkable talent lies in his ability to play exceedingly intricate, fast pieces, while maintaining impeccable tone. He is also a composer, having several fiddle tunes to his credit, including 'The Old Rocking Chair'. John performs with his brother James as part of 'The Abrams Brothers', a bluegrass gospel duo. He resides near Kingston, Ontario, with his family. |
