Description: After traveling on the road with her family for over 20 years, East Tennessee native Beth Stevens has found a new home with Pinecastle Records. Beth Stevens has been performing since the age of 12 years old. The eldest daughter of the Stevens Family band decided to take up the banjo and it wasn’t long before she quickly picked up the piano, guitar, dobro and bass. She also wrote her first song at the age of 12, which lead to a string of many original songs that Beth penned along with the help of her family.
Beth is a prominent singer, songwriter and musician. Her songs have been recorded and performed by other artists. While receiving her Master’s in Education at East Tennessee University, she had the opportunity to play with the ETSU Pride Band along with Tim Stafford, Barry Bales, Adam Steffey and Kenney Chesney. She also had the honor of singing backup on Dolly Parton’s Halos and Horns project. She has performed on the Grand Ole Opry Live, CMT and PBS television many times and toured with the likes of Merle Haggard, Brad Paisley, John Anderson, Ralph Stanley, Bill Monroe, Waylon Jennings, Gene Watson and many others. Beth Stevens along with her band have traveled all over the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan. She has been featured in Bluegrass Unlimited, Smithsonian Magazine, Country Weekly, Rolling Stone and Bluegrass Now Magazine.
Beth resides in the beautiful hills of Roan Mountain, Tennessee along with her husband Keith Blackwell and her two sons Chase age 12 and Drew age 8 who make special guest appearances during the show. Band members include Douglas Stevens who is the father of the crew called Edge. He started playing guitar at age five. Doug along with his wife Betty formed The Stevens Family Band back in 1980. It was their hard work and sacrifice that provided the building blocks for Beth’s career. Doug sings lead and harmony vocals and plays guitar. He also writes songs and is the acting road manager. Betty Stevens is the personal manager for the group. Gary Laws is the Bass player and vocalist. He now resides in Elizabethton, TN with wife Rachel, daughter Briana & son Bryson.
